In addition to attending classes, and participating actively to the discussion, students are required to make a half-hour presentation on an article of their choice. Students are encourages to seek out suitable papers from the literature. If efforts fail, please contact me by email with a brief statement of interest for a specific area, and I will make suggestions. Lectures will be based on a book in progress that will be emailed to all participants at the beginning of the course. Reading the relevant chapters before class will help you get a lot more out of the class, as the pace will be fast.
