Try problems 1, 5, and 6 from the von Neumann Morgenstern notes,
and also try this



Problem Set 2. Due Apr 21 in class.

Try problems 1 and 2 in the notes about Allais and Ellsberg.


Problem Set 3. Due Apr 26 in class.

Try problems 2 and 3 in the notes about Cost-Effectiveness. You can either write a computer program to do exact calculation, write a computer program to do simulations, or work out most of the answer analytically. Each approach is instructicve in different ways. Take your pick.


Problem Set 4. Due May 3 in class.

Try the three problems in these Notes (if you only have two problemsin your copy, download the latest version). If you feel inspired, try solving the flu shot example using GeNIe. Genie is in the computing lab's PC (E3133). It can be accessed from Start-Programs-GeNie(Decision system).

Try problem 2 in the notes about "Changes in utility as information", and problems 1 and 4 in the notes about fixed sample size.
